I am a chartered biologist and member of the Royal Society of Biology, and a professional member of the Medical Artists' Association of Great Britain. My first degree is a B.Sc in Botany and Zoology and my second degree is a B.A. in Scientific Illustration. I have been a freelance scientific and medical illustrator since 1994. In 2002 I was awarded a Leverhulme Trust grant for a one-year artist residency at the Grant Museum of Zoology in London, and in 2015 I received the Pat Archer Award for my artwork exhibited at the MAA Exeter Conference exhibition. In 2024 I was honoured to be made a Fellow of the Medical Artists' Association of Great Britain.
My particular interests are illustration in the fields of veterinary and medical science, biology, molecular and cell biology, zoology, botany, ecology and palaeontology.
